Meal planning is very important it is like solving every family’s question about “what’s for tonight?”. When you plan you are more organized, the time and tension you take every day to think about what should I make for dinner or lunch. We want to eat healthily but when we cook without thinking we usually end up eating convenient and unhealthy and monotonous diets. We see so many healthy and tasty recipes online, and we never make them in reality or forget them, you can always bookmark those recipes and consider them while planning meals. If you want to change your life, you really have to change your ways.
The time you spent on stress on deciding the meals every day and rushing every day to market before meals can be saved by spending 10 minutes every week on meal planning and one hour once in a week on ingredients shopping and 10 minutes every night on meal preparation (like cutting vegetables, soaking lentils, making sprouts). Unplanned life is not the life you choose, it is where life is taking you and it is very easy to go to the convenience when your meals are unplanned. You just have to make a 7-day chart and pin it on your refrigerator along with a grocery list, which may include the food items that are used up so you remember buying them on your next shopping. Be an advanced homemaker.

I am sharing reasons that can make you plan your diet
- It saves a lot of stress and time and you do not have to ask every family member “what for dinner?”. You already know and have done the meal preparation the night before and are just quickly done with the meals. It makes your job interesting.
- It helps you keep track of what you and your family are eating and is it healthy or not. If you want yourself to be healthy and fit, you must plan and include all the foods that are delicious and healthy. Or how you can find ways to make healthy foods delicious so everyone likes it. Your health is in your hands.
- With a diet plan, you do not end up buying unhealthy stuff like sweets and treats, you have your diet chart and ingredients to buy list and you know what you need. This way you save your money and unhealthy impulsive eating and shopping.
- You are now a more creative and organized person with your diet chart and meal prep, once a week you invest your time in meal prep and you are done for a week. You can come up with new ideas and recipes. You add more varieties to your diet and do not end up eating the same kind of food unknowingly, every day.
- Reduces anxiety: When you are planned, you do not have to rush to market to shop ingredients before every meal. There is always that one person in a house who has to rush to bring coriander or green chili or yogurt before every meal. 😀
